All measurements come from the makers of our blank items. They’re measured flat, not stretched. Real pieces can be a little off: about half an inch on covers and about 1.5 in on tees and hoodies.
Prosthetic leg cover
Our covers are for the outside of a below-knee prosthesis. Never over a knee joint or anything that bends.
Measure your socket
Measure the prosthesis the way you wear it. The cover goes on over everything else, so that’s the shape it has to go over.
- Put your prosthesis on the way your prosthetist showed you, with your liner, socks and suspension sleeve as usual.
- Find the widest part of the socket. Wrap a soft tape measure around it, level and snug, and read the number. If the cover will go over your suspension sleeve, measure over the sleeve. That’s your circumference.
- Now measure the length you want covered, from where the cover should start to where it should stop.
- No soft tape? Wrap a piece of string, mark it, then lay it along a ruler.
- The back of a socket is hard to see while you’re wearing it. A friend or a mirror helps.
Cover sizes
“Around (relaxed)” is the flat width doubled. That’s the size of the tube before it stretches.

What the numbers mean
- The fabric is 90% polyester and 10% elastane, and it stretches in every direction. The maker doesn’t publish a maximum stretch, so we can’t tell you how far past the numbers above it will go.
- Where your socket is smaller than a size’s relaxed circumference, the cover doesn’t have to stretch there, so it may be loose.
- Where your socket is bigger, the cover has to stretch. The inside of the fabric is white, so a print pulled very tight can look lighter.
- If your socket is longer than the cover, it covers part of it. If it’s shorter, fold or bunch the extra.
Putting it on
- Put your prosthesis on the way your prosthetist showed you, with your liner, socks and suspension sleeve as usual.
- Pull the cover on last, over the outside.
- Never put the cover under a suspension sleeve. It never goes inside the socket either.
- Keep it clear of valves, pin-lock release buttons, lanyards and any part that bends or moves.
- If anything changes how your prosthesis feels or moves, take the cover off and ask your prosthetist.
Crew socks
One size, sold as a pair. The maker says they fit women’s US 5 to 15 and men’s US 3 to 13. Black heel and toe.

Lay a tee or hoodie you like flat and measure it the same way. Pick the size with the closest numbers. Between two sizes? Go up for a looser fit.
