The short version
- We collect what we need to take your order, print it and ship it.
- We share it with the companies that help us do that: our print partners, our payment processor, and our hosting and email providers. When we run ads, analytics and ad platforms get some data too, and you can opt out.
- We never store your full card number.

Who we are

What we collect
- Order details: your name, shipping and billing address, email, phone number if you give one, what you bought and any order notes.
- Account details, if you create an account: your email and a password. The password is stored scrambled, so we can’t read it.
- Payment details: you type your card details into our payment processor’s form. We get a confirmation that you paid and may get limited details such as the card type and last four digits. We never store your full card number.
- Messages: anything you send us by email.
- Device and usage data: your IP address, browser type and the pages you view. Our server logs, our store software and, when we use them, analytics and ad tags collect this.
We don’t ask for health information. If you choose to tell us about your limb or your prosthesis, for example to get sizing help, we use it only to answer you. We never use it for ads.
How we use it
- To take your payment, print your order and ship it.
- To send order and shipping emails.
- To answer your questions and handle returns and swaps.
- To prevent fraud and keep the site secure.
- To keep our business and accounting records.
- To see how the site is used and fix what’s broken.
- When we run ads, to measure whether they work and to show ads to people who visited the site.
Who we share it with
- Our print-on-demand platform and its print partners in the United States. They get your name, shipping address and what you ordered so they can print it and ship it. They may pass your address to the shipping carrier.
- Our payment processor, to take your payment and prevent fraud.
- Our hosting, security and email providers, who run the site and send our emails.
- Analytics and ad platforms such as Meta, TikTok and Google, when we use their tags. They can see which pages you visit and what you buy on our site.
- Anyone the law requires us to share with.
We don’t sell your personal information for money. Some state laws treat ad tags as “selling” or “sharing” data. You can opt out of that. See below.
Cookies and tags
Cookies are small files your browser stores. Our store needs some of them to keep your cart and your login working. Analytics and ad tags use cookies and similar tools to count visits and measure ads.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The cart and checkout need their cookies to work. You can also change your ad settings with Meta, TikTok and Google directly.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy.
- Correct it.
- Delete it.
- Opt out of targeted advertising and of any “sale” or “sharing” of your data.
To do any of these, email hello@loudlimb.com from the email address on your order. We may ask you to confirm it’s you. Using these rights won’t change your prices or how we treat you.
Marketing email
We only send marketing email to people who sign up for it. Every one has an unsubscribe link. Order and shipping emails still go out, because they’re about your order.
If you join our first-drop list, we keep your email address, the page you signed up on and the date. We use it to send one email when our first products go live, and we delete the list after that email unless you sign up for more.
How long we keep it
We keep order records as long as we need them for orders, returns, fraud prevention and our business and accounting records. We keep emails until your question is sorted and then as long as those records need them. You can ask us to delete your data sooner, unless we have to keep it by law.
Security
The site uses HTTPS, and we never store full card numbers. No system is perfectly secure, so if you think something is wrong, tell us.
Kids
This site isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
